Crowned national champions for 2015, the team’s achievements also included best equal oralist in the High Court final (Sarah Bradbury), three places in the top 10 oralists for the competition (Alice Zhou, 2nd; Sarah Bradbury, 5th; Angus Nicholas, 6th) and awards for best written submissions.
After defeating Macquarie Law School in the semi-final, the team progressed to the final against the University of Western Australia (UWA) before a distinguished panel including Chief Justice Robert French AC.
The team will not have long until they pack their bags for Washington D.C., where they will contest the International Rounds during Easter in their quest to be International Champions.
Sydney Law School has a strong history of performing well at the International Rounds, winning the International Championship three times (1996, 2007, and 2011).
This is the ninth time a Sydney Law School team has been named Champions in the Australian National Rounds (1991, 1995, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2008 and 2013 and 2015).
