Since 2002, OzTREKK has helped send hundreds of Canadian students to Australia for professional degrees. Our mission is simple: To prepare students for a first-class international educational experience in Australia. We are experts in the Australian university education and we will assist you at every stage—from application to arrival—so that nothing is forgotten. OzTREKK is your Canadian connection to study in Australia!
OzTREKK pre-departure events a success!
we are proud to assist our students in any way we can—including holding
in-person pre-departure get-togethers. Our pre-dep prep aims to guide
students through the final steps as they prepare to live and study in Australia.
It is also a great opportunity to meet other students who will also be
travelling to Australia to study. This year, we hit Toronto
and Vancouver, and we are so pleased we had a chance to meet you!
OzTREKK staff in the “photo booth”
This year, many of our OzTREKK students and some of their family
members joined us for these important seminars, and, as always, it was
just as fun for OzTREKK staff as it was for the students—just check out
video slideshow! What a great way to prepare for your trek to Australia
and get the latest 4-1-1 on what to expect—and meet some students who
will be studying with you!
So, we send out a big thank you to everyone who came out to participate!
On August 5, 2016, Rio will become the first South American city
to host the Summer Olympics. Along with the usual fanfare, there are
also human rights concerns over the ongoing outbreak of the
mosquito-borne Zika virus and its potential impact on athletes and
visitors. So much so that dozens of athletes from all over the world
have decided to forego the event.
Few sports fans would associate their favourite competition with
international human rights law, but according to one legal academic
there are some surprising connections at play.

The public lecture is being hosted by Griffith Law School’s Law Futures Centre.
Professor Joseph argues that holding the Olympic games in Rio de

Studying pharmacy is more than just counting pills. Meet current UQ Pharmacy

My name is Sakina. I am currently in my third year of pharmacy at UQ.
I was born and raised in Canada and made my big move to Australia two
and a half years ago. I am a chemistry nerd at heart so pharmacy seemed
the best fitting career for me. I aim to be a high achiever but I don’t
like to get consumed by classes or work, so in my downtime, I love to
explore the outdoors such as going on hikes, to the beach, traveling,
going on road trips, and hanging with friends. Fashion is another
passion of mine so that is another aspect of my life that I really want
to continue to develop.
I have found that sometimes uni students become so obsessed with
their grades and results that they forget to focus their attention on
the key experiences which are desig…
