Bond University launches new Master of Occupational Therapy program

Bond University is proud to announce the launch of the Master of Occupational Therapy. This graduate-entry program will take just two years full time to complete, through Bond’s unique accelerated three-semesters-a-year structure.

The program is the first occupational therapy master’s degree in Australia to provide the opportunity to complete a clinical research project or undertake business electives in preparation for an occupational therapy career in health management or private practice. This unique offering means graduates will be will prepared to meet existing community needs and be prepared for those required by the Australian National Disability Insurance Scheme.

Students will benefit from extensive professional practice placements of more than 1,000 hours in a variety of settings such as private practice, community and mental health services, aged care and hospitals.

There will only be one intake per year, with the program accepting the first intake of students in the September 2016 semester.

Entry requirements
The minimum academic entry requirement is an undergraduate degree in health sciences or other related degree with
  • one semester of anatomy,
  • one semester of physiology, and
  • two semesters of psychology or sociology or behavioural science.
